Scheduling and Reservations
Services are by reservation only and are guaranteed by credit card (VISA or MC) or by valid gift certificate number, so please have all of the proper information available when calling. To schedule, please call (225) 381-7944.
Guest Timeliness
We ask that you arrive at least 15 to 20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time so that you may take full advantage of our steam shower, aromatic foot soak, warm neck wrap, complimentary beverages and snacks while you await your treatment. Arriving late will possibly interfere with your treatment time therefore the treatment may be shortened or rescheduled in order to run on time for the next service. All appointments will end at their scheduled time so that the next guest will not be delayed.
Health Problems and Comfort Level
Please notify a Spa coordinator before booking treatments if you are pregnant, have allergies, high blood pressure, any physical ailments, or disabilities. This will prepare our staff far in advance to provide the best possible Spa treatment or therapy for you. When receiving your treatment the technician will address your needs based on your personal assessment. They will speak to you about the temperature, pressure, music, product, and sequence of service they are providing. You may also communicate to us how you are feeling during your service, if there is anything you would like us to address please inform the technician.
Waxing
***IMPORTANT*** Be sure to inform your Aesthetician if you are using Retin-A, Retinal base product, Accutane, or have had laser surgery before all facials and waxing services. Tips for before waxing: Please allow about two weeks of growth before your appointment. Do not apply moisturizers, expose skin to the sun or to tanning beds, and stop all use of products that dry the skin for about 1 week prior to waxing to prevent burning/tearing of skin. Tips for after waxing: Do not expose skin to sun or use a tanning booth for at least 24 hours.
Therapist Gender
For your convenience, we have both female and male therapists. When making your spa reservation, please let the staff member know your preference.
Cell Phones- Quiet please!
Please silent your cell phone ringer upon entering into our Spa for your treatment. So that you may fully enjoy your time with us, we also ask that you leave your cell phones in your locker. However, we know that some our guests have little ones at school or at home so if you need to have your phone handy we ask that you turn it on silent or vibrate to ensure it does not disturb other guests who are trying to relax. We will gently remind you should you forget. If you need to answer your phone, please kindly step into our locker room, our front desk area or outside of the Spa so as to not interrupt other guests.
Spa Payment Inquiries / Refund Policy
We accept Visa and Mastercard only. We also except cash and check payments. All payments made over the phone will be charged a convenience fee. Please note that with any of our promotional offers, discounts or other gift certificates CAN NOT be used in conjunction with those services. Spa Parties are responsible for a 50% deposit and for parties of 5 or more, a 20% gratuity will be added.
Refund Policy
No refund on product purchases or services offered. Exchange or credit only within 30 days of receipt. No returns on gift certificates, spa packages, spa parties, treatment series. Sorry, no exceptions. Gift certificates/packages are transferable, but not refundable.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a reservation or reschedule, we require a 24 hour notice on individual appointments and 48 hours notice for packages. Canceling or changing reservations for a group of three or more requires 72 hours notice. Reservations cancelled in less than the required time will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the service price.
We provide reminder email and reminder phone call 24 hours in advance. This is a courtesy call only and should not be relied upon. Guests are responsible for their appointments.
Gift Certificate Policy
Gift certificates are good for services only unless otherwise noted. Please notify the staff when booking your appointment if you have a Gift Certificate and all Gift Certificates must be presented upon check in. Lost, misplaced or stolen certificates are not refundable or replaceable.
Tour Philosophy
If you wish to come and tour our facility or meet our staff, we ask that you please call ahead of time and reserve some time to do so. However, if you find yourself out and about and decide to drop by on a whim please feel free to do so, we will try accommodating you the best that we can.
Minimum Age
Our services at Lokka Med Spa are designed for guests 18 years of age or older. Guests a bit younger are encouraged to enjoy our facial/nail services as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
Pricing
Service prices subject to change without notice. A new menu of services will be out by the summer of 2010. Please make note that prices and services will be changing.
